About Me
A native of Walnut Grove, California in the Sacramento River Delta, Mary Deal has lived in England, the Caribbean, and now resides in Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. She writes in several genres. One of her short stories has been nominated for the prestigious 2009 Pushcart Prize.
Her first novel, The Tropics: Child of a Storm - Caught in a Rip - Hurricane Secret, is an adventure/suspense trilogy set in both the Caribbean and Hawaiian Islands.
Her second novel, The Ka, is a paranormal Egyptian suspense that takes place in Valley of the Queens, Egypt.
River Bones is her first thriller set in her hometown area. Sequels are being written. River Bones is a WINNER in the 2009 Eric Hoffer Book Awards competition. She is now at work on the 1st Sequel to River Bones.
